We began with highlighting the truth of the mankind and how Allah has made Nikah as one of the supreme laws. The word Nikah originates from the Arabic language which has the meaning intercourse.  And when it is said that he performed Nikah on the daughter of so and so, it implies that he executed a marriage agreement with the bride. Further, when it is said that he performed Nikah on his wife, then this implies that the husband had an intercourse with his wife.

When we say that under Islam every Muslim is urged to marry then we want to emphasize on the command of Allah. Allah commands His believers to marry as soon as possible and also help those under you to marry.

Allah says,

“Marry the unmarried among you and the righteous of your male and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His favours. Allah is Bountiful and Knowing.” [An-Nur 24:32]

When Allah calls upon His believers and promises to bless them everything then one must know the value of fulfilling Nikah. The messenger of Allah, the Prophet (Peace be upon him) has indicated that Allah has promised His help for everyone who aspires to marry so as to avoid any kind of sin or other Haram activities.

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“There are three individuals that it is a right upon Allah to help them: a fighter for Allah’s cause, a Muktalib who wants to pay himself off, and one who seeks marriage for the purpose of preserving his chastity.”

[Sahih ul-Jami no. 3050)

“It is a right upon Allah to help the one who seeks to marry for the purpose of avoiding what Allah has prohibited.” [Sahih ul-Jami no.3152]

Thus, when it is said in Islam that Nikah is he command of Allah, then a true believer and not worry of the preparations or consequences because Allah will find the way out for him.
