The growing issue in today’s generation is restraining oneself from Nikah. We have talked about the same in one of our previous blog article where we talked about the problems faced by today’s youth and how they have started practicing celibacy. Do we even know what the result of disliking the Sunnah of Nikah is? Today’s article will pay heed to the same.
As we have discussed earlier that Nikah is the righteous way of fulfilling one’s desires and other worldly pleasures. A Muslim who aims to fulfill it in a lawful manner does no wrong and it does not represent a lack of piety. Rather, that is the most pious way which was also adopted by the Prophets of Allah. The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) has called Nikah as one of the very important Sunnah in Islam.
It has been reported in Qur’an that there were a number of men who went to the houses of the Prophet (Peace be upon Him) who inquired about his manner of worship and also his way living. When the mothers of the Believers described that to them, they thought that he did too little. When the people came to know about the lifestyle of Allah’s most beloved Messenger, they were certain that Nikah was a crucial part of one’s Deen and also one’s lifestyle.
“Indeed, by Allah, I fear Allah and revere Him better than any of you; yet I fast some days and break my fast on others, I pray part of the night and sleep the other part, and I marry women. So, anyone who dislikes my Sunnah is not a follower of me.”
[al-Bukhari, Muslim, and others]
Thus, if you dislike Nikah then be sure then you are not among the followers of the Prophet (Peace be upon Him). Be sure that the blessings will not unfold in the best possible manner for you. Be sure that you will be deprived of the best way of living that has been decided for you.
So, it is your call to awake or stay asleep forever. May Allah be with you and in all your decisions.
