Nikah is such a commitment that changes our lives completely. Your spouse brings a whole new perspective of looking at the world. But when do we meet the right person? How long is the wait? Patience is the key. Yes, patience might sound very minimal but its consequences have a lot of weight. Before your Nikah, you need to train your mind as well as heart to remain patient. Your patience will stop you from indulging in any haram acts. Once you start practicing patience while waiting for the right person, you observe a lot of Sunnah of the Prophet (P.B.U.H.). You start to lowering your gaze, limit your interaction with the opposite gender, stop attending haram gatherings, and do not value any worldly relationships. In today’s fleeting times, young Muslims are impulsive and do not pay attention to the small acts that turn into grave sins later. We should try to control our nafs and wait for the person that Allah has decided for us. Verily, Allah has made the best plan for us.
