Every home is a blessing bestowed upon by Allah. As a good Muslim parent, it becomes your duty to make your home a place for the remembrance of Allah.
The Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said,
“The likeness of a house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered is that of the living and the dead respectively.”
You must strive to make your home a place where Allah is remembered constantly and in all different kind of ways as mentioned in Qur’an. You should not create a mindset that Allah can be remembered only through offering prayers and reciting Qur’an. But talking verbally about Allah and including the knowledge of different Hadith can help in developing a peaceful environment. So it is very important to revive one’s home with the worship of Allah.

Allah says,
“And we inspired Musa and his brother : Take dwellings for your people in Egypt, and make your dwellings as places for your worship, and perform al-talah, and give glad tidings to the believers.” [Yunus (10): 87]
Through this Hadith, Allah wants to convey that a home should be a place where you can recite your Salah anytime. Even when you are unable to go to the Mosque because of some difficulties or illness, then your dwelling should be a noble and pure place of worship. The houses that remembers Allah are more blessed with Allah’s peace of mind and ease of living. Even you are poor and do not have means to meet ends, then a home which prays together can save you from a number of difficult times. As the mother and the father, it becomes your joint responsibility to give your children such a fulfilling environment. So, in future if they are stuck in any problem then they can clearly remember what their home has taught them. What you teach in childhood remains with the children forever in the sub-conscious mind. Make sure that you plant the seeds of good wisdom that knows how to worship ad remember Allah in everything.
