Lately, we have been talking about the special status granted to our Muslim sisters in Islam, In our previous article, we threw light on how special a woman is in every role. Be she a wife, a daughter, or a mother. Due to the changing environment in society, Muslim women sometimes feel out of the box. They are attacked with this drowning feeling which lowers their self-confidence. They are caught in the web of self-doubt which fills them with anxiety. However, such behavior needs to stop. We are only responsible for our inner happiness. So, for all the women who have been covered with blues lately, we are here to remind you of your valuable worth.
Sometimes we complain that we are less than others. But, don’t you think that it is being ess thankful for what Allah has made you for. Let us share some facts and see how much do you know about the special treatment given to women.
- The Holy Qur’an is blessed with a whole Surah with a name that means women. The Surah is Surah An Nisa. Isn’t it special to be a part of the book of Allah? Surely, it is and we will be foolish to not to acknowledge it.
- We all know how Allah loves martyrs. He has decreed upon them special status to the martyr and even to their family. But how many of you did you know that the first martyr in Islam was a woman called Sumayyah bint Khabbāṭ, wife of Yasir ibn Amir, who died while she was being tortured.
- The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) had to undergo many hardships to guide people towards Islam. There were disbelievers who would mock at him. However, the first person who believed in the Prophecy of the Prophet (OB.U.H.) was a woman, Khadijah R.A. So, you know how powerful, compassionate, and supportive a woman is.
- Our Prophet (P.B.U.H.) has shown the Sunnah path for every Muslim brother and sister. He has shown the world the right and the wrong things. But did you know what was the last recommendation of the Prophet (P.B.U.H.)? His last advice to the Ummah was to treat every woman with respect and love.
So, the nest time you believe any less in yourself or treat yourself with less love, remember how special and different you are. remember you are one of the wheels this society runs on. Remember you are half the Deen of your man and transforms a house into a beautiful home. Be more respectful and kind towards yourself.
