As we are a part of the global world, it is no doubt that we are heavily affected by western culture. One instance is the growing acceptance of queer or same-sex marriages among Muslims. We are deviating from the righteous path of performing Halal Nikah that Allah and the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) have shown to us. We forget it over and over again that what Allah has prescribed for us and what He has restricted us from, is the only best and most wise for us. Queer marriages go against the natural disposition known as fitrah created by Allah for mankind where men are attracted towards women and vice versa.
Allah says, “Verily, you practice your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds by committing great sins.”
Homosexuality which results in Queer marriages is one of the most corrupted and evil acts of humans. It takes you away from the Lord and disposes you among the disobedient and filthy creatures. Today, we hear a lot of scholars and institutions talking about equal rights in choosing the gender of their spouse. they raise their voices for extending the legal acceptance for Queer marriages in Islam so that an individual may choose either men or women depending on his choice. This is no other example of supporting the Haram acts in the world.
Allah says, “And the two persons among you who commit intercourse against fitrah, hurt them both. And if they repent and do righteous good deeds, leave them alone. Surely, Allah is ever All-Forgiving, the most Merciful”.
Those who indulge in the sinful act must try to gain back their focus on the right path. Sinful acts like homosexuality are all triggered by the desire of lust in humans. It is the time of utter blindness when mankind is unable to see the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Be a responsible Muslim and spread awareness of this displeased act in the eyes of Allah. We must protect our Deen by calling our Muslim brothers and sisters to perform Nikah in the manner commanded by Allah.
Allah has clearly stated in Qur’an that he made us in pairs. When he said this, it is our duty as obedient Muslims to act as per the natural disposition set by Allah.
Qur’an says, “And, we created you in pairs”. – (Qur’an, 78:8)
No matter how far we go on the development scale in this world, we should not forget the roots of Islam. We should not let the guidance of our Deen abandon us only to fulfill our worldly lusts and unexplained pleasures. Let us know about your answer in the comments below, is it a no or a yes?
