Today, all of us are struggling for the peace of mind. Caught in the worldly desires and challenges have snatched our peace and silence to get a sound sleep. There is so much distress all around the wold and Muslims are suffering in the fight for their existence. In such hard times of life, we need to ponder upon what Allah has called important for leading a peaceful and a harmonious life.
In the midst of everything, we keep running, sometimes for success and other times for money. We forget that we as Muslims have other duties as well. Since, every human being is dependent on or another, there comes a time in life when the need for partner becomes indispensable. No matter whatever qualifications you have or however big your house and luxuries are, there comes a time when you crave for the love of your spouse and wish to start a family with him/ her.
Nikah allows a person to live in harmony with his human nature and eliminates from him any kind of negative feelings. Feelings which arise from conflict and dejection with the absence of a spouse. As indicated earlier, abstaining from Nikah is an unnatural act that has been prohibited by the Prophet (Peace be upon Him).
Qur’an mentions,
“Allah’s Messenger, Prophet (Peace be upon him) prohibited abstinence from marriage.”
[al-Bukhari, Muslim, and others]
Moreover, if we dig deeper and try to be more aware of what Islam says, we will realize that Nikah had been a practice of the prophets. Since all the Prophets were close to Allah and they were firm believers, so the right path for living was demonstrated by them to the mankind. Allah all His Prophets for their exemplary life of humanity, good virtues, and truthfulness in fulfilling their duties towards Allah.
If we also wish to be true believers of Islam, then we must look beyond this world and focus on the deeper meaning of life. This will help us to lead a harmonious life and give better results in this World and Hereafter.
In shaa Allah!
