In our previous blog, we talked about the importance of having the right kind of friends who helps us in accelerating our Deen. The right kind of people help us to lead a better life and identify the purpose that Allah has set for us. That is why we need good friends to practice Islam as enduring Muslims.
How to find the good kind of friends?
At an age where teenagers are effected by peer pressure and various other prevailing factors in the society, it becomes very difficult to stick to a good choice of friends. While interacting in schools and colleges we come across numerous people from different background, having different ideals and principles. In such a scenario, it is the duty of parents as well to take care of their children’s company. They must be fully aware of the people their child interacts with and how much closeness the child shares with his/ her friends.
Secondly, the parents must also take care that they educate their children in the light of Islam and must ensure that they do not indulge with such people who can distract them from the right path. For this the parents must develop a culture at home where Islamic teachings and Hadith are shared so that children what are they expected as Muslims and not act juts blindly. It is very important to treat everyone with justice and love, however it is also necessary to not to imitate anyone at the cost of one’s Deen.
Furthermore, one should try to find people with similar ideology and belief in the Messenger of Allah, the Prophet. If two people have similar ideologies and principles, then it becomes easy to coordinate and synchronize each other’s energy in a better way. Wherever there are contradictions, the beauty in friendship is lost forever.
