What are your rights upon your Husband?

A Muslim woman is bestowed upon numerous rights upon her Husband. After the Nikah, the Muslim man becomes the sole protector, bread earner, and pleasure giver for his wife. In return, the woman leaves her home, family, and friends only to start a new life with his husband. Meanwhile all this, some men tend to become very controlling and try to exercise unjustified power over their wives. In this male-dominated world, women should not feel weak and should not forget the rights that are made specially to protect them. Today we will be discussing the different rights that make the married life of Muslim women simpler and easier. Awareness is the key to knowledge. So without any further delay let us look at those rights.

Qur’an says,

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.  (Qur’an 4:1)
